This is an amazingly tiny sedum from Japan. The evergreen rosettes barely reach 1/4-inch in width. Despite its diminutive size, Sedum oryzifolium 'Tiny Form' is fully winter hardy. The foliage tends to turn red orange in the winter which is echoed in the reddish, very thin stems. Although it hugs the ground, it can also mound up an inch or so. We grow it in a container for good year-round interest. Or try it between pavers, in rockeries or growing over low walls.
Summer. 1.5 in. x 6 in.
