This diminutive, alpine species from the mountains of southern Honshu in Japan is perhaps most suitable for a rock garden or a raised bed. The narrowly eliptic leaves are flat with a groove going down the central vein. They are gathered into rosettes that form at the ends of loose stems. Sedum rupifragum has starry yellow flowers that appear in the summer.
