At recent plant trials in Olympia, WA, Sedum spathulifolium subsp. yosemitense 'Red Raver' stood out among more than 100 that had been subjected to no water and little care. Thanks to the director of these trials, we were able to propagate this brilliantly red-stemmed selection. The fleshy leaves of the mature plant are slightly olive green. Red stolens bearing new plants give this sedum an eye-catching appearance. When it is in bloom, it is even more irresistable.
