This has naturalized in one or two places in the garden and its cheery spires add a cottage garden feel to those areas. The roughly veined, somewhat oblong leaves of Verbascum chaixii f. album are mostly evergreen at the base. From that base, arise spires bearing myriad outward-facing, saucer-shaped, creamy white flowers with a sparkle of mauve stamens within.
Mid- to late summer. 36 in. x 18 in.
