Central Europe to Russia. The dark green, linear leaves of Veronica longiflolia are evenly notched along their edges. These seedlings have soft blue flowers bearing prominent stamens. The terminal racemes can measure up to 10 inches. Because Veronica longifolia blooms toward the end of summer into the fall, it is a good perennial for continuing the blue tones later in the season.
