NE Asia. This large, upright shrub is a beautiful sight in the spring when it is covered in 3- to 4-inch cymes of lace-cap flowers. Later in the summer, the reason for its cultivar name becomes apparent as the fruits begin to color. They are rich yellow and persist on the shrub well into the autumn as the medium green leaves turn shades of yellow, bronze and orange. Individual leaves are three-lobed with a longer central lobe.
Mid to late May. 10-14 ft. x 11-15 ft.
