Zantedeschia albomaculata was the first Calla lily that we grew in our garden and after all these years it still delights us. Its large 18-inch dark leaves are spotted white, which is what its latinate name describes. In the wild in South and eastern Africa it is found in both marshy ground and in rocky of grassy mountain meadows. The plant is obviously adaptable. In summer, 5-inch white spathes open to reveal yellow finger-like spadices. We make sure that the plant is watered regularly during our dry summers.
Mid- to late summer. 24-36 in. x 18-24 in.
